Influenster: Sally Hansen Salon Effects

I was so excited to be picked for my very first VoxBox from Influenster. Influenster is a great program!! They send you products for free so that you can try them and give your honest opinions and reviews about the products. The Spring Beauty Box was my first ever Voxbox. I received a big package with several different products for me to try and review.

One of my favorite products in the box were the Sally Hansen Salon Effects. I received the Wild Child style. At first glance I was really excited. The packaging was nice and I loved the style. It was a very African/tribal type of style. I've never used nail strips before so I wasn't sure how I was going to like them. They've always looked, to me, like they'd be a pain to put on. So I was pleasantly surprised to see that the instructions were very straight forward and easy to understand. It actually took me a lot less time to apply them to all my nails, than it would to paint my nails. It was actually really easy to apply. All you have to do is stick it on your nail. Use the little cuticle stick to press the strips down. Then I just used the file that was provided in the package to shape to my nail. They looked great! Though I must admit that I was skeptical and expected them to have peeled off by the next day. Surprisingly they hadn't. They lasted for over a week and still looked brand new. With painted nails, by day 4 there is usually some chipping off of the nail polish. I did all of my usually activities and the nail strips definitely stood the test. Though I will say that the only negative that I saw was that they are somewhat pricey.  One package costs $9.99. I'm pretty cheap, so it's not something that I would use every week.

I think Sally Hansen Salon Effects would be great for a special occasion or even for something like a vacation. They are perfect for a time when you don't want to have to mess with nail polish. You can just apply it and not have to worry about it at all. Overall I would definitely recommend trying them. Sally Hansen has them in 40 different fun styles and colors. I give them two big thumbs up!
